To expand outside-contact rights for prison and detention-centre residents and strengthen family and social ties, ONE4U has deployed payphones across 55 correctional institutions, the National Forensic Hospital (Gongju Therapeutic Custody Centre), and immigrant-protection facilities — providing reliable calling services nationwide.

The Ministry of Justice untact service currently runs over a PSTN-server payphone untact platform. A next-generation AI video-visitation system — featuring AI face recognition, speech-to-text (STT), LLM analysis, anomaly detection, and integrated monitoring — is scheduled to launch within the year. Visitors register for visitations online through a dedicated app that handles untact identity verification (face recognition / OCR) without travelling to a correctional facility. For correctional officers, an AI Assistant supports supervision and monitoring through AI-based anomaly detection and STT-powered transcription.

The MOJ Smart Visitation service is part of the Ministry's 'Rule of Law with Trust' initiative, supporting video visitations between residents of prisons and juvenile detention centres and their families — strengthening family ties and helping residents reintegrate into society after release.

Visitors register and book visits online through a dedicated app; residents use in-facility smart payphones to confirm and join visits; supervisors leverage AI face recognition and anomaly detection across both the visitor app and resident payphones for identity verification and fraud monitoring. Multi-channel monitoring lets supervisors observe many concurrent visitations in real time — an integrated AI monitoring system.
